Nelson Local Care Centre is a £16m healthcare facility that is replacing Nelson Hospital in Wimbledon.

The new, three-storey care centre will be home to two GP clinics, a pharmacy, office accommodation and will house state-of-the-art facilities, including x-ray/ultrasound, endoscopy and phlebotomy services.

The design has received input from clinicians, planners and members of the surrounding community & as a consequence has incorporated several sustainable features in order to fulfill the need for an energy efficient care centre.

The scheme will be BREEAM (Health) ‘Excellent’ and TACE have implemented 40m2 photovoltaic panels, ASHP, ‘A’ rated boilers and lighting systems, all of which will result in a 20% reduction in energy.
