Manchester Enterprise Academy recently received a brand new three-storey development, which sits adjacent to the school’s existing building, providing 3800m2 of new teaching facilities to accommodate the academy’s growing number of pupils.
The new building, known as the Durie Building, consists of nine English classrooms, with an additional nine state-of-the-art laboratories for the school’s science department, and a 260-seat auditorium in the ground floor. Also housed within the Durie Building are two large drama studios, a specialist art and fashion department, a music room with practice rooms and new staff areas.
The existing school building underwent a large scale refurbishment to the sports facilities including an extension to the changing rooms as well as the installation of a full-size artificial grass pitch.
