Longton Lane Primary School, St Helens

Client

Tilbury Douglas / Department for Education

Supported by the DfE’s ‘School Rebuilding Programme’ and with financial backing from St Helens Borough Council, this project encompasses the construction of a premium two-storey school building. The building will feature 13 classrooms, staff facilities, a main hall, a kitchen, and landscaped surroundings.

In addition to replacing the existing structure, the new school will prioritise sustainability initiatives. It will be equipped with photovoltaic roof panels to harness solar energy for electricity generation. Furthermore, an increase in car and cycle parking spaces, alongside the installation of electric charging points, aligns with the council’s ambitious target of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2024.
