The British Muslim Heritage Centre in Manchester recently underwent some refurbishment works to provide areas more suited to the buildings new owners.
Originally built as an Independent College in 1843 the now grade II listed building had functioned as several different colleges until 2004 when the then owner GMB National College vacated the property.
After a period of uncertainty the British Muslim Heritage Centre to serve as a home for Muslim heritage and identity in Britain.
The centre now provides spaces for language classes, fitness classes, prayer rooms and a banquet hall for private hire.
